Nicholas Vonortas

Nicholas Vonortas currently holds the position of São Paulo Excellence Chair at Universidade Estadual de Campinas since September 2014 and serves as a Professor of Economics and International Affairs at The George Washington University since September 1990. With a focus on the economics of technological change, industrial organization, and science, technology, and innovation policy, Nicholas has also contributed as a Leading Research Fellow at the National Research University — Higher School of Economics from June 2015 to March 2022. Nicholas Vonortas earned a Ph.D. in Economics from New York University (1989), a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Leicester (1982), and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Ethnikon kai Kapodistriakon Panepistimion Athinon (1981).
