Paul Katsen

Paul Katsen has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as Co-Founder of Gym Class (IRL Studios Inc), which is a popular sports experience in virtual reality. Prior to this, they worked at Twitter as a Group Product Manager, where they led product design and full-stack investments for the Home Timeline, with a focus on personalization and scalability. Before Twitter, Paul was involved with Coinbase in two different roles. Paul first worked on the consumer product strategy, shifting the focus to becoming the primary financial account by introducing various financial services using cryptocurrency. Paul then moved on to the Developer Platform team. Paul also has experience as the Co-Founder and CEO of Blockspring, a serverless computing developer platform, which was later acquired by Coinbase. Paul also co-founded Outpost Kitchens, a 'ghost kitchen' service that partnered with major food delivery platforms. Earlier in their career, Paul worked as an Engagement Manager at Mission Measurement, advising executive teams on growth strategy, and as an Analyst at ZS Associates, advising pharmaceutical and medical device leaders on sales operations and marketing strategy.

Paul Katsen attended the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where they pursued a Dual Degree in B.S. Systems Integration & Design Engineering and B.S. Finance. Paul completed this degree program, but specific start and end years were not provided. In 2014, they attended Y Combinator and obtained a degree or certification, labeled as S14. Later, in 2022, Paul attended Y Combinator again and obtained a degree or certification, labeled as W22. Additionally, they obtained a Self-Driving Car Engineer Nanodegree from Udacity in October 2018.
