Zakir Hossain, PhD, is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in project management, proposal development, and engineering within the power generation and automation sectors. Currently serving as a Senior Estimator at Gypsum Technologies Inc. since March 2017, Zakir has previously held significant roles at leading companies such as ABB Inc. and Toshiba, where responsibilities included managing large-scale EPC proposals for hydroelectric and thermal power plants, and leading teams in complex bidding processes. With a solid educational foundation comprising a PhD and MSc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Saitama, along with a BSc from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology and a certificate in Project Management, Zakir combines technical expertise with strategic project oversight.
