Gerrit Portier

Gerrit Portier's work experience includes a position as Senior Sales Director EMEA at Gyros Protein Technologies starting in 2023. Prior to that, they worked at Cytiva as a Sales Manager EMEA, Cell Therapy, and later as a Sales Director Northern Europe Academic. Gerrit also served as a mentor at Start Codon from 2019 to 2022. Before that, Gerrit held various roles at GE Healthcare, including Sales Director Northern Europe Life Sciences Academic and Benelux Sales Director Life Sciences. Gerrit was also a member of the board of Code Commission and Appeals Board at GMH and served as a member of the board and treasurer at DiagNed. Gerrit's earlier work experience includes positions at Beckman Coulter, PerkinElmer, GE Healthcare, and Radboud University.

Gerrit Portier attended the Dr. Struycken Institute from 1986 to 1990, where they earned a Bachelor's degree in Medical Biochemistry. Gerrit then went on to study at Wageningen University & Research from 1990 to 1993, obtaining an MSc. degree in Molecular Sciences. In 2000, they enrolled at HAN University of Applied Sciences and completed their Bachelor's degree in International Commercial Economics in 2004. Lastly, from 2006 to 2008, they attended ISBW Business School, focusing on General Management.
