Teresa Rasmussen

Teresa (Terry) Rasmussen has held the position of President & CEO at Thrivent since March 2005, where responsibilities include leading the fraternal and insurance business units and overseeing a network of financial professionals. Previous roles at Thrivent include Senior Vice President, General Counsel, & Secretary, managing over 230 professionals in corporate risk management and external affairs. Rasmussen serves on the board of the American Council of Life Insurers and H.B. Fuller, and has held various leadership positions within professional associations, including President of the Association of Life Insurance Counsel. Prior experience includes Vice President & Managing Counsel at Ameriprise Financial Services and American Express Financial Advisors. Educational qualifications include a J.D. from The University of North Dakota School of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Minnesota State University Moorhead.
