Allison Hu

Allison Hu is an accomplished design researcher and community advocate with a diverse background in urban design and environmental justice. Currently serving as a Board Member and Chair of the Food Systems Working Group at Circular San Antonio since May 2024, Allison also holds the position of Senior Design Researcher at H-E-B since July 2021. As the Director of Public Space East, a role initiated in July 2015, Allison focuses on mobilizing local creative resources to enhance design equity and community health in San Antonio's Eastside. Previous experience includes roles at RevUnit and Participation Studio, as well as architectural and design positions at Overland Partners and WORKac. Allison's academic credentials include a Master of Architecture from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Architecture from The University of Texas at Austin, complemented by a fellowship in Climate Leadership for Action from Terra.do.
