Errol Weiss

Errol Weiss has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Errol currently serves as the Chief Security Officer (CSO) at HEALTH-ISAC since April 2019. Additionally, they hold a voluntary position as a Senior Fellow at the McCrary Institute for Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Security at Auburn University.

Prior to their current roles, Errol worked at Bank of America where they held various senior executive positions in global information security and cyber threat analytics from 2016 to 2019. Errol also served as the Vice Chairman of the Board and a Member of the Board of Directors at FS-ISAC between 2011 and 2016.

Earlier in their career, Errol worked at Citigroup as a Director and at SAIC in the role of Assistant Vice President. Errol also had a leadership role at Solutionary as a Vice President.

Errol's career in cybersecurity began at the National Security Agency where they worked as a Cryptologic Engineer for eight years. Errol also held a senior advisory role at CSC.

Overall, Errol Weiss has demonstrated extensive experience and leadership in the field of cybersecurity through their various roles in both the public and private sectors.

Errol Weiss pursued their undergraduate education from 1983 to 1987 at Bucknell University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (BSE) degree in Computer Engineering along with a minor in American Literature. Following this, from 1991 to 1993, they attended The Johns Hopkins University, where they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Technical Management.

Health-ISAC (Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center), is a global, non-profit, member-driven organization where health sector stakeholders join a trusted community and forum for coordinating, collaborating and sharing vital physical and cyber threat intelligence and best practices with each other. Members use this information to extend their security operations team and to create situational awareness, inform risk-based decision-making and mitigate against threats. Membership is open to public & private hospitals, ambulatory providers, health insurance payers, pharmaceutical/biotech manufacturers, laboratory, diagnostic, medical device manufacturers, medical schools, medical R&D organizations and other relevant health sector stakeholders. Member organizations become more resilient by working together, benefiting the entire health sector and its vital role in critical infrastructure worldwide.
