Yasmine S. Murray

Yasmine S. Murray, Esq. serves as COO, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of H. J. Russell & Company, where she collaborates with the CEO, Michael Russell, to drive his priorities across the organization and ensure the company’s vision and goals are successfully executed. As the company’s General Counsel, she manages Russell’s legal affairs and works diligently to mitigate risks company-wide.

Yasmine brings a strong commitment to the firm’s core values and a deep understanding of the unique legal issues it faces. About a decade ago, she joined Russell as a paralegal, and later upon receiving her Juris Doctor, returned to its legal department as Staff Attorney. Yasmine subsequently assumed the role as Corporate Counsel and Risk Manager before becoming General Counsel and Corporate Secretary. She is a member of the American Bar Association, Association of Corporate Counsel, Atlanta Business League, Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys, Minority Corporate Counsel Association, National Association of Professional Women, State Bar of Georgia, and the Urban Land Institute. Also, she serves on the Council for Quality Growth’s 2019 Government Affairs Task Force and is a 2018 Who’s Who in Black Atlanta “Game Changer.”

Prior to joining the company, Yasmine gained extensive legal knowledge and experience in the legal departments at: Holland & Knight, LLP; Hawkins Parnell, Thackston & Young, LLP; Swift, Currie, McGhee & Hiers; Mabry & McClelland, LLP; and Drew Eckl & Farnham
