Jeff P. Smith is an accomplished wildlife ecologist with extensive experience in raptor conservation and ecological research. Currently serving as an Associate Wildlife Ecologist at H. T. Harvey & Associates since August 2010, Jeff previously held the role of Science Director at HawkWatch International for 13 years, where coordination of long-term raptor migration monitoring efforts across multiple western states was a key responsibility. Jeff's academic credentials include a PhD in Wildlife Ecology from the University of Florida and a Master's degree in Biology-Ecology from Utah State University. Early career experiences include post-doctoral research at Oregon State University and USGS, and graduate research at both Utah State University and the University of Florida, focusing on ecological studies of avian species and their habitats.
