Edward Liu has a diverse work experience. In 2015, they worked as an ATM Repair Technician at Holintek where they ran diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on ATMs, optimized task times by up to 50%, and generated $40,000 in parts repair revenue. Edward also managed client communications and explained repair services and pricing. In 2020, they became the Hardware and Network Communications Engineer at H2Ok Innovations where they designed a Base Station network gateway receiving sensor data, decrypting packets, and uploading to cloud database. Edward also programmed and implemented cellular communications adaptable for sensors and gateway for remote IoT deployments. In 2020, they became the Electrical Lead and Treasurer at UCSB Robotics Club where they managed and lead the Rover design project, guided and designated team members roles, and oversaw procurement and billing. In 2021, they became the Rover Design Project Lead at UCSB Robotics where they lead the design of swappable sensor payload rover with ability to extend wireless range with portable coverage towers. Edward also managed talent acquisition for team positions, partitioned project roles, managed applications, and assigned positions. Edward also coordinated with officers and members to support development, provided guidance and advice for design decisions.

Edward Liu began their educational journey in 2019 when they attended UC Santa Barbara and earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a 4.0/4.0 GPA. Edward then continued their studies in 2021 at Cornell University, where they are currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Computer Engineering.
