Mohamed Baba

Mohamed Baba is an experienced leader in the public and social housing sectors, currently serving as Lid Commissariaat Fysiek Domein at Gemeente Amsterdam since January 2024, focusing on complex spatial challenges related to climate change and sustainable development. As Bestuursvoorzitter at Haag Wonen since March 2020, Mohamed advocates for safe and welcoming neighborhoods for low-income residents in The Hague. In addition, leadership roles include Chair of the Vereniging Sociale Verhuurders Haaglanden, Member of the Dagelijks Bestuur for De Vernieuwde Stad, and positions on various supervisory boards including Platform31 and Ouder- en Kindteams Amsterdam. With a strong educational background, including a Master's degree from Tilburg University and participation in the Yale World Fellows Program, Mohamed has contributed to significant initiatives in housing development and social welfare throughout a diverse professional career.
