Kirsi Aro

Kirsi Aro has a diverse and extensive work experience spanning various industries and roles. Kirsi most recently worked as the Director of Competence Area (Finance & Accounting) at Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences. Prior to that, they were a Member of the Board at Kalevala Koru Oy, the leading jewelry brand in Finland. Kirsi also served as the Chief Financial Officer for Indoor Group Oy, a prominent home furniture and interior retailer in Finland and Estonia. Kirsi gained experience in sales process development and deployment as the Director of Global Sales Process Development at Fiskars Group. Additionally, Kirsi held several leadership roles at Amer Sports Corporation, including Vice President of Finance, Marketing, and Digital, where they led the finance function for the marketing and digital departments. Kirsi also worked at Nokia as a Senior Business Controller and held various finance roles at Danisco Cultor and Stora Enso earlier in their career.

Kirsi Aro holds a Master's Degree in Accounting and Business Finance from the University of Vaasa, which was obtained between 1991 and 1996. Additionally, they have obtained certification as a "Hyväksytty hallituksen jäsen (HHJ) -tutkinto" from the Helsingin seudun kauppakamari - Helsinki Region Chamber of Commerce in 2021 and certification in "Elements of AI (Artificial Intelligence)" from the University of Helsinki in 2019.
