Dan Martin, PhD has an extensive work experience in the field of performance coaching, sports science, and nutrition. Dan currently holds the position of Head of Performance Coaching & Sports Science at MoneyGram Haas F1 Team, where they have been since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as a Performance Coach - Consultant at the same company from 2020 to 2023.

In addition, Dan has also worked as a Performance Nutritionist for Southampton Football Club starting in 2020 and as the Head of Industry Nutrition Services at The Professional Jockeys Association from 2021 to the present. At the same association, they also served as a Performance Nutritionist - Consultant from 2014 to 2021. Their responsibilities included providing one-on-one consultations, lab and field testing, behavioral profiling, and education and training to professional jockeys.

Additionally, Dan has experience in the education sector as a Lecturer of Sport and Exercise Sciences and Head of Higher Education (Sport) at University Centre at Wakefield College from 2014 to 2015, and as a Lecturer of Sport and Exercise Sciences at Leeds City College from 2010 to 2014. Their teaching subjects include applied exercise physiology, applied sports nutrition, research methods, sports nutrition, and physiological adaptations.

Dan Martin, PhD completed their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Performance Nutrition and Behaviour Change at Liverpool John Moores University from 2015 to 2019. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sport and Exercise Nutrition from Leeds Beckett University. Dan also holds a Bachelor of Science (BSc Hons) degree in Sport and Exercise Sciences from the same institution. Additionally, Dan Martin completed a Post Graduate Certificate of Education from The University of Huddersfield. Moreover, they obtained a High Performance Register certification from SENr (Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register).
