Gareth Thomas

Gareth Thomas currently serves as the Senior Deputy Head of Prep School at Chigwell School since September 2023 and is a School Governor at Haberdashers' Academies Trust South. Previously, Gareth held several key positions at The Haberdashers' Aske's Boys' School, including Deputy Headteacher (Pastoral) and Designated Safeguarding Lead for the Prep School, Acting Headteacher of Prep and Pre-Prep School, and Phase Leader for Years 3 & 4. Gareth began a teaching career at St. Martin's Preparatory School, instructing KS2 and KS3 classes. Educational qualifications include an MA in Educational Leadership from the University of Exeter and a PGCE from Leeds Beckett University, along with a Bachelor of Arts in Sport Science.
