Abbas M. Mohamed

Abbas M. Mohamed has a diverse work experience in the banking industry. Abbas M. is currently serving as the Head of International Priority Clients (IPC) at Habib Bank AG Zurich since September 2021. Prior to their current role, Abbas held various positions at Habib Metropolitan Bank, a subsidiary of AG Zurich. Abbas M. worked as an Executive Vice President & Regional Business Head from January 2018 to August 2021 and as a Senior Vice President & Zone Head from January 2016 to December 2017. Abbas M. also served as a Vice President & Area Head from January 2013 to December 2015 and as an Assistant Vice President & Area Head from December 2010 to December 2012. Abbas's career in banking started in 2003 at Habib Bank AG Zurich as an Assistant Branch Manager. Abbas M. gradually progressed to become a Branch Manager before the bank merged with Metropolitan Bank in 2006, where they continue to work to this day.

Abbas M. Mohamed began their education at Karachi Grammar School, where they pursued A-Levels in Business/Managerial Economics. This educational journey took place from 1988 to 1999. Following this, Abbas enrolled at the University of Toronto, where they completed their BA in Economics from 1999 to 2003. Additionally, in July 2023, Abbas obtained a certification in "Sigma Risk Masterclass in Trade Based Financial Crime" from Sigma Risk®.
