Nell Cloutier

Nell Cloutier has a diverse work experience in various organizations. Nell worked as a Director of Measurement and Learning at Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco, where they built systems to measure and communicate the impact of affordable homeownership. Prior to that, they were an Annual Giving and Stewardship Manager at the same organization. Nell also worked as a Lecturer at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, where they helped English Language Learners improve their academic reading and writing skills. At the University of Notre Dame, Nell was a Visiting Assistant Professor in the Program of Liberal Studies, designing courses that linked music with social issues and leading a team of research assistants. Nell also served as the General Manager at Boulder Chamber Orchestra, organizing a successful benefit concert. Nell's work experience also includes roles as a Researcher and Project Director, Course Instructor, Mentor, and Teaching Assistant at the University of California, Berkeley, where they taught music courses and mentored students. Lastly, they worked as an Education and Outreach intern at the Opera Theatre of Saint Louis, coordinating educational programs and outreach initiatives.

Nell Cloutier completed their education in the field of music history, literature, and theory. Nell first attended Washington University in St. Louis from 2005 to 2009, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Interdisciplinary Project in the Humanities, Music. Nell then pursued further studies at the University of California, Berkeley. From 2009 to 2011, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Music History, Literature, and Theory. Nell continued their academic journey at the same institution and completed their education with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Music History, Literature, and Theory from 2009 to 2016. Alongside their academic achievements, Nell also obtained additional certifications such as the Lightning Experience Reports & Dashboards Specialist from Trailhead by Salesforce in July 2019, and the Wilderness First Responder certification from NOLS Wilderness Medicine in March 2019.
