Kathleen English

Housing & Financial Counselor at Habitat for Humanity of Michigan

Kathleen comes to Habitat for Humanity of Michigan with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Hispanic Studies from Boston College. While attending Boston College, her local volunteer efforts and participation in Habitat for Humanity service trips inspired her to lead a life serving others. Kathleen has been a volunteer, AmeriCorps member, and employee at various Habitat affiliates, including those in North Carolina, West Virginia, Delaware, Washington, D.C., Guatemala, and Traverse City, Michigan. Kathleen continues her work of serving others with Habitat for Humanity of Michigan as a Housing and Financial Counselor, helping people to reach their goals, and obtain and keep stable, affordable housing.

Kathleen has experience as an educator as well. She taught English as a second language abroad, worked with migrant students in northern Michigan, and as an Elementary Spanish teacher. Her teaching skills allow her to connect with all different types of learners while covering a variety of topics.
