Hack the Hood
Ken Sorey is the Executive Director of the National Laboratory for Education Transformation (www.NLET.org), a California-based research and development nonprofit committed to transformational change in K-12 and workforce development. He recently served as Senior Executive Vice President of Educational Results Partnership for 17 years and also was the state director for the CA system of data called Cal-PASS Plus. He led statewide and national initiatives that provide actionable data to public schools, districts, colleges and universities leading to improved academic, college completion and workplace outcomes for students. He also served as the primary liaison with business leaders to provide them with a focused voice on improving their workforce pipeline. Ken has 30 years of experience building business and education partnerships and in helping schools and colleges better understand and use data to improve student outcomes and prepare the future workforce.
Ken previously led the Bay Area School-to-Career Action Network and co-led the California School-to-Career Action Network. Prior to his work in education, Ken provided marketing and market research consulting to numerous corporations, small businesses and non-profit organizations.
