Erika Scrimpshire, PhD, has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. From 2008 to 2010, they worked with the American Cancer Society as a Community Manager - Development, where they recruited and trained volunteers, managed budgets and donor relations, and developed strategic relationships with community leaders.

From 2012 to 2016, they worked at LifeWay Christian Resources, initially as a Production Editor and later as a Research Specialist/Editor. Erika'sresponsibilities included managing publishing projects, ensuring the accuracy of printed materials, and providing grammatical and stylistic services for ongoing curriculum.

In 2016, Scrimpshire joined SiteHawk as a Director of Education and Professional Development, where they created and developed corporate training programs and worked on product marketing as a Senior Product Marketing Manager. Erika also contributed to the development of onboarding programs and maintained an LMS platform.

In 2019, they moved to MaxxContent as a Senior Director of Business Operations, overseeing LMS online education platform operations, partnerships, and sales. Erika later became the Executive Vice President of Operations, coordinating with industry leaders to foster partnerships and growth initiatives.

Scrimpshire joined Belmont University in 2015 as an Adjunct Faculty for the School of Theology and Christian Ministry, where they were responsible for student instruction, course preparation, moderation, and university information management.

Erika'smost recent role is with HackerU, where they started in 2020 as the Director of Operations and quickly advanced to become the Head of Instructor Success in 2021. In these positions, they collaborated with executive and global partners to improve workforce efficiency and reduce resource costs for digital skills programs. Erika also facilitated strategic decision making and managed various aspects of online digital education programs and partnerships with global universities.

Erika Scrimpshire, PhD has a diverse education history spanning multiple fields of study. Erika began their academic journey in 2000, enrolling at Mississippi College where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Modern Languages. Erika completed their undergraduate studies in 2004, specializing in the field of German Studies.

In 2003, Erika Scrimpshire attended Johannes-Gutenberg-Schule Heidelberg, where they focused on Germanistik, furthering their knowledge and expertise in German Studies. This experience added depth to their understanding of the language and culture.

Continuing their pursuit of education, Erika Scrimpshire joined Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in 2005. Over the course of four years, from 2005 to 2009, they completed their Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Theology and Biblical Studies. This program provided their with a comprehensive understanding of theological and biblical principles.

Erika Scrimpshire's commitment to scholarly pursuits did not end there. From 2016 to 2023, they attended Amridge University to earn their highest level of academic achievement, a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Biblical Studies. This extensive program further honed their research skills and allowed their to delve deeper into the intricacies of biblical scholarship.
