Jim Slaymon

Jim Slaymon has over 30 years of work experience in various roles related to information technology. jim started their career as a Corporate Data Center Operations Manager at Rexnord in 1982, where they were responsible for managing networks, telecommunications, computer operations, scheduling, technical support, and the data center facility. From 1992 to 1994, they worked at Marsh Supermarkets as a Disaster & Business Recovery Specialist. At American Trans Air, Jim served as a Communications Engineer Manager, overseeing network and telecommunications installation and maintenance for airport bases, corporate headquarters, and the reservation call center. jim then joined Sallie Mae in 1995 as a Manager of Information Technology, where they managed systems infrastructure, web development, and client support. In this role, they also managed large projects involving multiple IT disciplines. In 2008, Jim transitioned to IVC Industrial Coatings, where they held several roles, including Manager of IT (Systems Development), Director of Information Systems & Technology, Manager of IT (Infrastructure & Network), Manager of IT (Security), and Manager of IT (Web & Applications Development). In these positions, they successfully implemented various IT solutions, managed vendor contracts, and developed and enforced IT policies. Most recently, Jim worked at Haggard & Stocking as the Chief Information Officer, leading all IT, IS, and e-commerce activities for the aerospace and industrial distribution company. Jim's work experience demonstrates their expertise in strategic planning, project management, infrastructure management, security, web development, and systems integration.

Jim Slaymon is currently attending IUPUI, where they are pursuing a Computer Technology Applications Certification. Additionally, they are also currently attending Ivy Tech Community College, focusing on Computer Information Technology.
