Ken Morton Jr. has extensive experience in the music and retail industries, currently serving as Event Manager for the Golf & Guitars Music Festival since May 2007. Morton is also the Owner and Editor of That Nashville Sound, a role held since February 2007, and has been the Vice President of Retail and Marketing at Morton Golf since February 1980. Morton obtained a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Corporate Communications from California State University-Sacramento between 1990 and 1995.

The owners of Morton Golf have won multiple PGA awards, including the National PGA Merchandiser of the Year award, the National PGA Professional of the Year award and our founding member, Ken Morton, Sr. has been elected into the PGA Hall of Fame. Morton Golf extended a long-term lease with the City of Sacramento to operate the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, Bing Maloney Golf Complex, and the Bartley Cavanaugh Golf Course. Our flagship store, the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, is the most awarded on-course golf shop in America. Morton Golf is a national award-winning operation. The PGA of America, Golf Digest Magazine, GSO Magazine, Golf Range Magazine, Golf Business Magazine and Golfweek Magazine awarded Morton Golf, operationally, as one of America's 100 Best Golf Shops and for its expertise in golf instruction, junior golf programs, clubfitting, customer service and management style. Morton Golf has been recognized by leading golf equipment vendors, winning national merchandising & clubfitting awards from companies such as Top-Flite, Mizuno, PING, Titleist, Cobra & Tour Edge. In 2008, our head professional at the Haggin Oaks Golf Complex, MIke Woods, won the National PGA Merchandiser of the Year award. Our Vice President, Ken Morton, Jr., is the current president of the Association of Golf Merchandisers and has written two books on golf merchandising.
