Robert Voelckner

Robert Voelckner is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in high-performance computing, computer vision, and machine learning. Currently serving as a Scientific Associate and Project Leader at Hahn-Schickard since July 2023, responsibilities include leading projects utilizing NVIDIA Jetson and computational fluid dynamics. Previously, Voelckner worked as a Development Engineer for Algorithms at Spleenlab GmbH, focusing on hardware acceleration for neural networks and supervised learning tasks. Prior roles encompass machine learning engineering at the Fraunhofer Institute for Transportation and Infrastructure Systems IVI, as well as firmware and software development positions at DMOS Dresden MOS Design GmbH and ADZ NAGANO GmbH. Voelckner holds a Master of Science in Nanoelectronic Systems and a Diplom-Ingenieur in Information Systems Engineering from Technische Universität Dresden.
