Martina Garcia

Martina Garcia is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in financial analysis and regulatory policy. Currently serving as a Member of the Cost Benefit Analysis Panel at the Bank of England since June 2024, Martina advises on cost benefit analysis related to new and amended rules for the Prudential Regulation Authority. As a Non Executive Director at HAITONG since August 2020, Martina also chairs the Remuneration Committee. Previous roles include Global Practitioner at the University of Strathclyde, Chief Executive Officer at the Centre for the Study of Financial Innovation, and Head of International Markets Strategy at the London Stock Exchange Group, where Martina played a key role in establishing the Shanghai-London Stock Connect. Additional experiences encompass positions at Goldman Sachs, HM Treasury, and the OECD, complemented by a PhD in Economics from Imperial College London and a Bachelor's degree in Economics from Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona.
