Laurent Cogné

Laurent Cogné has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Laurent'smost recent position is Director, Product Manager at Haivision, where they started in October 2022. Before that, from June to September 2022, they served as the Director of Cloud Production Engineering at the same company.

Prior to joining Haivision, Cogné was the CTO and Co-founder of Dazzl from April 2016 to May 2022. At Dazzl, they led the R&D activities and played a key role in developing a cloud-based video production tool.

From 2015 to 2016, Cogné worked as an IT Consultant, providing freelance services. Before that, from October 2013 to January 2015, they held the position of CTO at PredicSis, where they led an R&D team and worked on building a predictive analysis SaaS offer.

From July 2008 to September 2013, Cogné worked as an Engineering Manager at OnMobile, where they managed the maintenance and evolution of speech products and their integration into OnMobile's global added services. Prior to OnMobile, they held a similar role at Telisma from August 2001 to June 2008, where they contributed to the development of speech recognition decoder core components and designed a multi-client reliable server architecture.

Cogné started their career as a Research Engineer at Thomson Multimedia in July 1998 and worked there until August 2001. Before that, they briefly worked as an Expert Engineer at Irisa in 1998. Laurent began their professional journey as an Assistant Professor at IFSIC from 1995 to 1997.

Laurent Cogné earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Computer Science from Université de Rennes I in 1997.
