Peter den Hartog has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Peter started their career as a Student Assistant at Utrecht University, where they taught courses and programming languages to physics, astronomy, and mathematics students. Peter then pursued their education at the University of Amsterdam, where they completed their PhD. Afterward, they joined SRON as a Scientific Researcher, writing proposals, presenting results at conferences, and publishing scientific papers. Peter also worked as a Postdoc at Stanford University, focusing on data analysis and interpretation of gamma-ray pulsars for the Fermi gamma-ray space telescope collaboration. Alongside their academic pursuits, Peter professionalized their photography, specializing in nature and concert photography. Peter managed their work independently until 2010 when they joined Buiten-Beeld as a Photographer. In 2013, they ventured into general contracting, managing and renovating their own house. The skills they acquired during this time included demo, concrete work, technical drawing, framing, and electrical work. In 2014, Peter co-founded HAL24K, a Data Intelligence Research Lab, where they served as the Chief Science Officer, responsible for building a platform and solutions for smart cities and businesses. Peter then transitioned to becoming the Chief Executive Officer of HAL24K Agri, a spinoff of HAL24K that focuses on modernizing the agriculture sector using AI.

Peter den Hartog has an extensive education history. Peter began their academic journey in 1990 at RSG De Drie Waarden, where they pursued their HAVO degree for five years. Following this, from 1995 to 1997, they attended Schoonhovens College to obtain their VWO degree, although the specific field of study for both is not provided.

In 1997, Peter enrolled at Utrecht University and pursued two Master's degrees simultaneously. Peter specialized in Astronomy and Physics, successfully completing both programs in 2002.

Continuing their academic pursuits, Peter joined the University of Amsterdam in 2002 to pursue a Doctorate - PhD in Astronomy. Peter dedicated six years to their studies and successfully completed their doctoral program in 2008.

In 2012, Peter attended Stanford University to broaden their knowledge in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies through a Continuing Studies program, which they completed in 2013. Subsequently, with a desire to further enhance their entrepreneurial skills, they joined the Stanford University Graduate School of Business for the Ignite program in 2013.

In 2021, Peter den Hartog engaged in further education at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust, undertaking the WSET Level 3 Award in Wines, which is expected to be completed in 2022.

Overall, Peter has pursued diverse academic interests, ranging from scientific disciplines such as Astronomy and Physics, to entrepreneurial studies, and even delving into the field of wines.
