Ashley Jordana

Director of Accountability at Hala Systems

Ashley Jordana has worked in various roles in the legal field since 2011. Ashley began their career as a Criminal Defence Lawyer at Boggs and Levin, before moving on to become a Lawyer and Child Protection Specialist at World Vision in 2014. In 2016, Ashley began working as a Senior Lawyer at Global Rights Compliance, where they were the Head of GRC's Investigation & Strategic Litigation department covering Ukraine, Syria, Yemen, Sudan, South Sudan, Mali, The Gambia, Bangladesh, The Philippines and Venezuela. Ashley also served as a Senior Legal Advisor to the Ukrainian Prosecutor General's Office and State Security Services on all ICL and IHL accountability issues, as well as a Senior Legal Advisor to the Crimean Prosecutor's Office on how to identify, collect, preserve, and process evidence of international crimes including crimes against children. That same year, Ashley began working as a Senior Lawyer at the United Nations International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals (IRMCT). In 2021, they were appointed as an International Justice Advisor for the UN Office of Drugs and Crime, and also began working as a Rostered Expert - Investigating International Crimes Against Children at Justice Rapid Response. Ashley currently serves as the Director of Accountability at Hala Systems, Inc.

Ashley Jordana attended the University of Notre Dame from 2005 to 2009 and obtained a Bachelor of Laws (L.L.B.) degree from Notre Dame Law School in 2012. In 2021, they attended the International Institute of Criminal Investigations to become part of the JRR Expert Roster for Investigation of International Crimes Affecting Children. Ashley Jordana also attended The Hague Academy of International Law in 2021 to obtain an Advanced International Criminal Law: Human Trafficking certification.
