Brandon Davis

Director of Oversight & Public Accountability at City of Grand Rapids

Brandon Davis is currently the Director of Oversight and Public Accountability at the City of Grand Rapids. Previously, Brandon worked as a Senior Assistant Prosecutor at the Muskegon County Prosecutor's Office from March 2013 to February 2018, and as an Assistant Prosecutor at the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office from January 2011 to February 2013.

Brandon Davis attended Central Michigan University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Applied Arts in Interpersonal and Public Communications. Brandon then went on to Wayne State University Law School to obtain their Doctor of Law (JD). After graduating from law school, Brandon Davis became certified in Diversity and Inclusion from Cornell University and Strategic Human Resources Leadership from Cornell University. Brandon is also certified as an Attorney and Counselor from the State Bar of Michigan.

They are on a team with Chardonnay Henderson - Secretary to the City Manager, Doug Matthews - Assistant City Manager/Chief Administrative Officer, and James Hurt - Managing Director Public Services. A direct report to Brandon Davis is and Christin Johnson - Oversight and Public Accountability Specialist. Brandon Davis reports to Mark Washington, City Manager.
