Senior Director, Medicinal Chemistry at Halia Therapeutics, Inc.

Alexis Mollard, PhD has a diverse work experience in the field of medicinal chemistry and oncology research. From 2018 to present, they have been working at Halia Therapeutics, initially as the Director of Medicinal Chemistry and currently as the Senior Director of Medicinal Chemistry. At Halia Therapeutics, they have contributed to the development and management of medicinal chemistry projects.

Prior to Halia Therapeutics, from 2013 to 2018, Alexis worked at the Huntsman Cancer Institute. In their role as a Research Compliance Officer & Technical Writer, they were responsible for managing projects related to Investigator Initiated Trial (IIT) protocol development and activation. They collaborated with various stakeholders and pharmaceutical companies to develop complete IIT protocols, coordinated different teams throughout the protocol development and activation process, and provided assistance to investigators in various aspects of clinical trial design.

At the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Alexis also held the position of Clinical Research Coordinator - Phase I & Experimental Therapeutics from 2015 to 2016. They were involved in the implementation and completion of over 20 oncology research studies, primarily focused on Phase I/II trials for GI malignancies. They also worked on protocol development for investigator-initiated trials.

Before joining the Huntsman Cancer Institute, Alexis briefly worked as an Independent Contract Chemist at Wasatch Scientific Services, LLC from 2013 to 2015. In this role, they reviewed and accepted or declined synthetic chemistry and bioanalysis projects from small biotech firms and academic research institutions. They performed synthetic chemistry and LC-MS bioanalysis and interacted directly with customers.

Alexis began their career at Tolero Pharmaceuticals, Inc. as the Manager of Medicinal Chemistry from 2011 to 2013. And prior to that, they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Huntsman Cancer Institute from 2009 to 2011.

Alexis Mollard, PhD, has a strong educational background in the field of chemistry. From 2004 to 2009, they attended the University of Utah, where they obtained a PhD in Organic and Materials Chemistry. Prior to their doctoral studies, from 2001 to 2004, Alexis Mollard pursued a Master's degree in Chemistry and Chemical Engineering at CPE Lyon. Additionally, in December 2017, they obtained a certification as a Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP) from the Society of Clinical Research Associates (SOCRA).
