Mike Christie, LL.B, ICD.D has a diverse work experience in the field of human resources and employee relations. Mike began their career in 1995 at the Halifax Regional Municipality, where they served as an Employee Relations Manager for ten years. In 2005, they transitioned to the Halifax Regional School Board, taking on the role of Director of Human Resources until 2014. From 2014 onwards, they have been associated with the Halifax International Airport Authority, initially serving as the Vice President of Human Resources before being promoted to the position of Vice President of People in 2023. Mike Christie has demonstrated strong leadership skills and expertise in managing human resources functions throughout their career.

Mike Christie, LL.B, ICD.D. received their primary education at Halifax West from 1981 to 1984. Mike then attended Mount Allison University from 1984 to 1990, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Psychology/Biology. Following this, from 1991 to 1994, Mike attended Dalhousie University, where they obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree with a focus on law. Recently, in 2021, they completed the Institute of Corporate Directors, Director Education Program at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management.
