Vanessa Porter

Vanessa Porter is a highly experienced legal professional currently serving as Special Counsel at Hall & Wilcox since July 2015. Vanessa has held various prominent positions, including Vice President of Women in Insurance NSW from May 2019 to December 2023, and completed a 12-month secondment as Acting Group Lead Legal Services at Coal Mines Insurance from July 2019 to July 2020. Prior to these roles, Vanessa worked as a Senior Associate at Sparke Helmore Lawyers and DLA Piper/HWL Ebsworth, and as Team Leader/Project Manager at Employers Mutual Limited. Vanessa began a legal career as a Senior Associate at Stacks Goudkamp and a Paralegal at Shaw McDonald Solicitors. Vanessa holds a Diploma of Law from the University of Sydney.
