Leilani Gushiken

Leilani Gushiken has a diverse work experience, with roles in various companies and industries. Leilani began their career as an Events Coordinator at the Pacific Design Center in 2010, where they liaised between event planners and the center, coordinating security and maintenance for events. Leilani then worked as the Manager of Production at Participant Media's TakePart TV in 2012. In 2013, they joined Participant Media's Pivot as the Director of Production, Creative Services, responsible for producing branded events and overseeing all aspects of production management. Leilani also worked as a Freelance Producer at Side Hustle Studios, LLC, providing production and event services. Leilani was the Head of Content at WOOMIR global from 2017 to 2021, overseeing content creation. Leilani served as the Senior Director of Brand Production at Crown Media Family Networks from 2018, leading brand production. Leilani also had roles at DixonCo_ as an Ideator, brainstorming and implementing ideas, and at the American Film Market as a Speaker Programmer. Additionally, they produced the IndieCade Festival Award Ceremonies from 2010 to 2012.

Leilani Gushiken began their education journey in 1995 at the University of Iowa, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree. During their time at the university from 1995 to 1999, they focused their studies on a combination of Communications, Film Production, and Art. In 1996, Leilani also had the opportunity to study abroad at Swansea University for a year, where they immersed herself in the fields of Philosophy and American Studies. Although their time at Swansea University did not lead to a specific degree, it provided their with valuable international academic experience.
