Kara Goodier

Kara Goodier has a diverse work experience. Kara began their career at Detours Magazine as a writer from December 2011 to September 2012. Following that, they interned at Hallmark Cards in the Gift Books department during the summer of 2013, where they gained valuable knowledge and experience in editing and book development. Kara then joined Truman State University, where they served as a Truman Leadership Scholar from August 2010 to December 2013, participating in a leadership training program and fulfilling various leadership roles on campus. In 2012, they became the President of the Truman Circle K International club, actively involved in community service and volunteering until December 2013. Kara then ventured into the banking industry and worked as a Personal Banker at U.S. Bank from March 2014 to December 2014. Finally, they returned to Hallmark Cards and held various positions, including Editor, Senior Editor, and currently as the Associate Editorial Director - Gifts since August 2021.

Kara Goodier obtained their Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Creative Writing from Truman State University, where they attended from 2010 to 2013.
