Robert Cherkis

Robert Cherkis, CMIT, is an experienced professional in construction management, currently serving as an Assistant Project Manager at Halmar International since May 2024. Previously, Robert held the role of Project Engineer at MLJ Contracting Corp, contributing to the MTA C&D - Hall Interlocking Expansion from July 2023 to May 2024. Prior to this, Robert worked as a Project Manager and Project Engineer at Welkin Mechanical, LLC, overseeing the construction of a Comfort Station & Maintenance Facility from August 2019 to July 2023. Additional experience includes project engineering for the MED 609 Extension at Judlau Contracting, along with cost engineering for the Queens Midtown Tunnel Rehabilitation. Robert's career began at HDR, where responsibilities encompassed office engineering and construction inspection for the reconstruction of Springfield Gardens and Springfield Boulevard. Robert holds a Bachelor's degree in Construction Engineering from Fairleigh Dickinson University-Metropolitan Campus, obtained in 2013.
