Egil Utheim has a diverse range of work experience in various industries. Egil is currently serving as the Vice President - Health and Home Care at 1X Technologies since April 2019. Before that, they worked as the General Manager at IOT MEDICAL ANS starting from January 2018. From 2009 to 2018, they were the General Manager at Mektron AS. In 2012, they joined Norway Health Tech as an Innovation Advisor, where they also served as the Communication Manager in the EU project ICT 1 from 2014 to 2016. Prior to that, they acted as the Project Manager for health and open-source software at Driv Inkubator from 2011 to 2014. Egil also gained experience as the General Manager at Optimove from 2005 to 2009 and as the Chairman at Marine Control Services from 2004 to 2006. Egil has additionally held positions such as General Manager at Robia ASA in 2005, Sales Manager at Marine Service International from 2003 to 2005, and Manager at MAS Electronics from 1999 to 2003.
Egil Utheim has a diverse education history that spans several institutions and disciplines. Egil completed Systems Engineering Courses in System Modelling and Analysis, as well as Advanced Systems Architecting at the University of South-Eastern Norway in 2011. Prior to that, they pursued a B.Eng (Hons) degree in Manufacturing Engineering and Management from the University of Dundee between 1996 and 1999.
In 1991, Egil Utheim attended BI Norwegian Business School and obtained a degree in Bedriftsøkonom. Egil had previously studied Electronics at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1987 to 1989, earning an Ingeniør degree.
In addition to their formal education, Egil Utheim has obtained various certifications and completed training programs. Egil became certified as a TOGAF® 9 Practitioner by The Open Group in July 2021 and as an ArchiMate® 3 Practitioner in August 2021. Egil also completed a Communication and Persuasion in the Digital Age program at MIT Sloan Executive Education in June 2021.
Furthermore, Egil Utheim participated in the MIT Sloan + CSAIL Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy Program in November 2020 and the Blockchain Technologies: Business Innovation and Application program at MIT Sloan Executive Education in August 2018. Prior to that, they completed the Global Entrepreneurship Training program at Babson College in April 2018 and attended a Business Model Generation Workshop by Business Model Foundry in May 2014.
