Ed Gemo is the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Halozyme Therapeutics. Ed has over 25 years of experience in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries. Prior to joining Halozyme, Ed was a Biotech IT Strategy Consultant at Barbosa Consulting. In this role, they provided a full review and gap analysis of IT investments across all business functions for biotech companies. Ed also created multi-year technology investment roadmaps to help biotech companies scale, file for FDA approval, and successfully launch their products while maintaining compliance with GxP regulations.

Ed has also served as an Independent CIO Consultant and as the Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Halozyme Therapeutics, Inc. In these roles, they were responsible for developing and implementing IT strategies that aligned with business goals, overseeing the day-to-day operations of the IT department, and managing budgets and resources.
