Halton Regional Police Service
Inspector Raf Skwarka began his career with the Halton Regional Police Service in 1999. He was initially assigned to uniform patrol in Town of Oakville and, later, in the Town of Halton Hills. Over the years, he has gained extensive experience in several of the Service’s criminal investigative units, including Street Crime, Drug and Morality, Collision Reconstruction, Internet Child Exploitation (ICE), Human Trafficking, Intelligence, and the Office of the Chief of Police.
Raf also completed an external secondment with the Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit (CFSEU) and has served on the board of the Operating Body Executive of Criminal Intelligence Services Ontario (CISO).
He was promoted to the rank of Inspector in July 2022 and was assigned to 3 District in August 2022.
Raf is a strong proponent of collaboration with internal and external partners at the local, national, and international levels. He strongly supports stakeholder engagement and harnessing technology and innovation to promote community safety and well-being in Halton Region and beyond.
