Nigel Richards

Nigel Richards is an experienced professional with a diverse background in fire service and maritime operations. Currently serving as an Investigation Inspector at WorkSafe New Zealand since January 2022, Nigel has previously held the position of Maritime Border Officer at NZCS and excelled as a Director at Island Cruising NZ. With a significant tenure at New Zealand Fire Service, Nigel has taken on various leadership roles, including Assistant Area Commander and Manager of Simulation Training, where responsibilities encompassed officer training and incident management. Nigel's career in firefighting began at Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service, with progression through operational support roles. Educational credentials include training from the Australian Institute of Police Management and Morton in Marsh Fire Service College. Nigel is currently available for short-term consulting in relevant fields.
