Susanna Akiki

Susanna Akiki is a Clinical Associate Professor at Qatar University since September 2024, concurrently serving as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Weill Cornell Medicine - Qatar since April 2018. As a Consultant Clinical Scientist specializing in Cancer Genomics at Hamad Medical Corporation since July 2015, Susanna has made significant contributions to the field. In addition, Susanna has been a partner at Akiki Organics since June 2002. Prior experience includes roles as Head of HaematoOncology Genetics at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS Foundation Trust from October 2002 to June 2015, Principal Clinical Scientist in Molecular Haematology at Barts Health NHS Trust from October 1995 to September 2002, and Scientific Officer at Cancer Research UK from January 1993 to September 1995. Educational credentials include a PhD in Medicine-Haematology from the University of London, completion of a Cancer Biology & Therapeutics Program at Harvard Medical School, and ongoing studies at Harvard University scheduled for June to August 2025.
