Emil Jonescu

Emil Jonescu, PhD, is a highly experienced architect and educator with a robust background in research, design, and project management. Currently serving as a Senior Research Fellow at Edith Cowan University and as Principal and Head of Research and Development at Hames Sharley, Emil focuses on cross-sectoral and cross-disciplinary research that addresses the needs of industry and society. Previous roles include Lecturer in Construction Management at Curtin University and Director at Alterform, where Emil led diverse teams and managed significant architectural projects. With a strong educational foundation including a Doctor of Philosophy in Architecture from Curtin University, Emil is recognized for fostering partnerships between academia and industry while contributing to impactful community outcomes.
