Carolyn Turner

Carolyn Turner is an experienced educational professional currently serving as the Ohio Literacy Lead at Hamilton County ESC since August 2014, collaborating with The Ohio Department of Education and Workforce to enhance literacy achievement across the state. Previously, Carolyn held roles as a Regional Early Literacy Specialist and State Support Team Educational Consultant, focusing on professional development and support for educators involved in early literacy initiatives. Prior to this, Carolyn worked as a Classroom Teacher and Title One Teacher at Canton City Schools from August 1994 to June 2014, implementing Response to Intervention strategies for improved student outcomes. Carolyn's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Miami University and various advanced degrees in Reading and Educational Leadership, with ongoing doctoral studies in Reading Science at Mount St. Joseph University.
