Katie Chamness

Katie Chamness currently serves as a Caseworker at Hamilton County Job and Family Services, starting in September 2023. Previously, Katie held the position of Qualified Mental Health Specialist at Child Focus from January 2022 to January 2024 and was a Board of Trustee Member for Plainfield Community School Corporation from January 2017 to February 2023, where strategic oversight of six schools was ensured. Additional experience includes roles as a Family Case Manager Supervisor and Family Case Manager at the Indiana Department Of Child Services, specializing in child protection services, as well as a Skills Development Specialist at Adult and Child Health. Katie began a career in education as a Teacher for Family Development Services from August 2000 to May 2003 and earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Teaching from Indiana State University between 1997 and 2001.
