James Delesclefs is currently a partner at Hamilton Locke's Corporate department. Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, James was a partner at PwC Australia from 2016 to 2019 where they were responsible for advising on a number of transactions, including the sale of Montessori Academy Group to Greentown Education, Colinton Capital Partners' (CCP) acquisition of Australian Maritime Systems and Dimeo group, Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne's investment in TYPSY, Ziff Davis' acquisition of Mashable, Housatonic Partners' acquisition of the Australian Iron Mountain business, EQT Partners', Pacific Equity Partners', ING Bank's and others' potential acquisitions, Bain Capital's, Denham Capital's and others' acquisition structures, Team Invest Private's investment in ICON Metal, Secret Sounds group's sale transaction with Live Nation, Intertrust BV's acquisition of Seed Outsourcing, HyperAnna's equity investment and operational arrangements, j2 Global's acquisition of Fonebox and sale of Web24 and Gowing Brothers' acquisition of Surf Hardware International.

Before joining PwC Australia, James was a partner at Corrs Chambers Westgarth from 2010 to 2016. During their time at Corrs Chambers Westgarth, James advised on a number of high-profile transactions, including the $1.1 billion sale of Qantas Airways Limited's Frequent Flyer business to Macquarie Bank Limited, the $800 million sale of Australian railways operator Aurizon Holdings Limited's Queensland intermodal business to Linfox Armaguard Pty Ltd and the $700 million sale of Arrow Energy Limited to Shell Australia Holdings Proprietary Limited and PetroChina International Investment Company Limited.

James Delesclefs studied at King's College London, where they obtained a BA in French & Spanish. James then attended the College of Law Store Street London, where they completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Law. Finally, they completed a Legal Practice Course (City LPC) at BPP Law School London.
