Kate McCullough

Kate McCullough is an experienced reporter currently working at The Hamilton Spectator since March 2020. In addition to reporting, Kate serves as a marketing and communications associate at Plan to Protect® and is a co-founder of Huanchaco Surf Shop, both roles started in December 2018 and March 2018, respectively. Previous positions include an internship at The Globe and Mail and editing for WriterArmy.com. Additionally, Kate has held several roles with Students for International Development, including Global Fellowship Manager and Co-Director of Communications. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Journalism from Carleton University, a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, and an Honours Diploma in Journalism from Humber College.
