Benjamin Kail

Benjamin Kail currently serves as the Washington, D.C. Correspondent for the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette since April 2023, bringing a wealth of experience in journalism. Prior to this role, Benjamin was the Law & Money Reporter for the Boston Business Journal, where coverage included banking and professional services amidst the early days of the Healey administration. As a National Politics Reporter for MassLive.com from October 2019 to March 2022, Benjamin covered significant federal political events, including the 2020 presidential election and related social issues, and conducted investigative reporting. Previous experience includes roles at The Day Publishing Company and The Palladium-Times, where Benjamin focused on breaking news and state politics. A background in sales and retail management at GameStop and Best Buy complements Benjamin’s strong communication and leadership skills. Benjamin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Northeastern University and attended Columbia University in 2019.
