Melissa Smith

Melissa Smith, OCT, currently serves as an Elementary School Teacher with the Hamilton-Wentworth District School Board since May 2021. Prior to this role, Melissa worked as a Brand Ambassador for Younique Products from September 2016 to August 2024, a Blogger at HealthyMommy.ca from March 2018 to May 2021, and an Author at Golden Brick Road Publishing House from September 2017 to April 2019. Melissa also held the position of Assistant Store Manager at Walmart Canada from December 2008 to August 2018. In terms of education, Melissa has completed several qualifications at Queen's University, including an Additional Qualification in Special Education in 2024 and various Additional Basic Qualifications in education focusing on teaching at the primary and junior levels. Melissa's academic background includes a Graduate Diploma of Education from the University of the Sunshine Coast in 2008 and an Honours Bachelor of Physical Education from Brock University, where studies focused on Movement Studies. Additionally, Melissa has a diploma in Parks, Recreation and Leisure Studies from Mohawk College.
