Rob van Gils has extensive work experience in the aluminum industry. Rob started their career at AMAG in 2001, where they held various roles, including Technical Assistant, Production Manager for casting, and Production Manager for rolling. In 2006, they joined Hammerer Aluminium Industries as Plant Manager. Rob then advanced to the position of Technical Managing Director before becoming CEO and Managing Partner in September 2010.

Rob van Gils obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Entrepreneurship from the University of Louisville in 2006. Prior to that, they earned a Diplom-Ingenieur degree in Maschinenbau from the Deggendorf Institute of Technology in 2002.
