James AC McDermott

He is the founder and CEO of Rusheen Capital Management, a private equity firm that invests in growth-stage companies in the carbon capture, low carbon energy, and water sustainability sectors. Previously, he was a co-founder and Managing Partner of US Renewables Group, a private investment firm.

Mr. McDermott has founded, run, and invested in over 35 businesses over a 25 year career and built an extensive professional network in the low-carbon energy and sustainability sectors. He holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Colorado College and a MBA from UCLA.

Mr. McDermott currently serves on the board of Los Angeles Cleantech Incubator.
