Bill Johnston began their work experience in 1974 as an Audit Trainee and Senior at Thornton Baker. Bill then worked as a Training Manager at Thornton Baker from 1978 to 1980. From 1980 to 1982, they served as an Audit Manager at Grant Thornton. Currently, Bill is the Hampden Group Chief Accountant and Director of Seymour Taylor, overseeing finance for companies involved in the Lloyd's Insurance Market, Insurance entities in Run Off, and extensive property interests in the UK and the Netherlands.

Bill Johnston attended Rutherford Grammar School in Newcastle upon Tyne from 1964 to 1971. Bill then pursued a B.A. in Economics and Accounting at the University of Newcastle upon Tyne from 1971 to 1974, where they specialized in Economics, Law, and Accounting.
