Ake'Lah Chambers

Ake'Lah Chambers is an experienced project manager currently working at the Hampton Roads Workforce Council since February 2023, leading the Regional Maritime Training System. Chambers has a diverse background in management roles, including tenure as Director of Admissions at Hallmark Youthcare and various managerial positions at Safe Harbor Recovery Center, including Business Office Manager and Human Resources Director. Ake'Lah has also served as a Shift Supervisor and Trainer at Starbucks. Additionally, involvement with the Women Who Lead program at Black BRAND as a mentee reflects a commitment to leadership development. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Health/Health Care Administration/Management from Norfolk State University.
