Whitney Lester

Whitney Lester serves as the Senior Director of Talent Development at Hampton Roads Workforce Council since August 2019, focusing on the strategic direction and management of regional talent programs to ensure a skilled workforce that meets employer needs. Prior to this role, Whitney held the position of Director of Business Development at VersAbility Resources from October 2011 to August 2019, overseeing efforts to create employment opportunities for individuals with disabilities. Additional experience includes serving as Director of Business Development at The Moore Group, where Whitney secured contracts with major corporations and federal agencies, and as an Associate at The Educe Group, providing consultancy in e-Learning and Human Capital. Whitney's career began at the U.S. Department of Labor, where managerial responsibilities included overseeing IT operations across regional offices. Whitney holds an MBA from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary and a Bachelor of Arts from William & Mary.
